Latin Kings

Michelle Nieuwstad is a member of the Tygerberg Aquatics Swimming Club.

She has been swimming competitively for 9 years, has represented the Western Cape USSASSA swimming team for 9 years and won many medals in the various galas and championships she has competed in.
She was selected to represent South Africa at the Confederation Of African Nations Zones 3 & 4 Swimming Championships which were held in Nairobi during January 2010 where she competed in 9 races, winning 5 gold medals and 2 silver medals.

Michelle was also awarded the Victrix Ludorum in the girls 15 & 16 year age group.

She is coached by her brother Craig and Lucy Conradie. 

Okkie & Francois started their school career at Durbanville Preparatory - Grades 1 - 3.
 
Grade 4 & 5 they moved to Durbanville Primary School.
 
They started palying tennis at the age of 7 years.
 
They joined Curro Private School (Grade 6) in beginning of this year where the School started a tennis academy.
They have already represented the School at the Sun City National Schools Tournament, where the school came 2nd.
They received their first provincial tennis colours in 2006 in their first year under 10.  They repeated this in 2007.
 
In 2008 again they were awarded provincial colours and they also received their  WP Schools Colours.
In 2009 they were both chosen for the WP Schools teams and they went on to gain SA Schools colours for the under 13 team, although they are still under 12.
